    • 何だかんだ言っても，likelihood という概念はわかりづらい．ましてやそれを EBM の世界に持ち込もうというのは無理じゃないですか．「診断」につきまとう思い込みを正すためにも，事前確率，尤度，事後確率，という考え方がどんなに有効だと説明したところで，あんまり普及しない．
    • ところで，日本語に 'likelihood' に相当する単語は存在するといえるのだろうか．単なる直訳の「尤度」ははたして日本語か？

There is no word for "odds" in French, Italian, Spanish, Kinyarwanda, or Lao, to name but examples. So some have to start difficult calculations with a notion that does not even exist in their mind.

    • しかし，それを言うなら，'likelihood' という notion は English-native な人たちの mind には存在しているのか？
