  • Wilkins (2005), Comput Methods Programs Biomed, "NONMEMory: a run management tool for NONMEM"
    • 一連の解析を整理保存するデータベースツールと考えるとよいでしょう．Run No. の何番はどういう解析に対応していて，そのときのデータセットはこれで，解析結果はこれ，と要約表示される．もちろん，それぞれの解析結果，つまり，収束の有無，目的関数値，パラメータ推定値，も必要に応じて表示される．そして，種々のグラフも作成可能．一回の解析だけではなく，「一連の解析」に着目した点が秀逸．

NONMOMory is designed to be a comprehensive and general runs manager for NONMEM −− a software database designed to efficiently store, organize, retrieve, display and compare the vast quantities of information generated during the course of a NONMEM modelling project.

    • こういうソフトを使うときに一番難しく，そして，窮屈なのが $TABLE をソフト側の仕様にあわせなければならなくなること．Xpose でも事情は同じ．
    • そのあたりが面倒だから，いろいろな人が「自分で作ってしまえ！」と思い立つんでしょうね．
    • NONMEM は教えるのも大変だ．

Teaching of the techniques required to use NONMEM is made much more difficult by the lack of a user-friendly interface to run results.

    • $COV PRINT=E で固有値を出力しておけば，条件数（condition number, 最大固有値と最小固有値の比）も計算してくれる．条件数 > 1000 を ill-conditioning とみなす仕様．また，パラメータ間の相関 > 0.9 もあまりよくない兆候とみなす．
    • MSF (model specification file) も何かに使えるんだそうだ．何だろう？ そもそも，MSF ファイルのバイナリ・フォーマットを解読しなければならない．Fortran ソースを見ればいいんですけど．
